Bottom Line!

Its a boy thing

When Maggie Howell promised to send us a photo of her husband Andy's tattoo we were expecting yer usual 'prancing dolphins on the forearm' jobbie. Quite aside from the obvious question of ... why?! much time was taken up discussing how the tattoo was achieved and exactly where the tattooist would be leaning to achieve the correct angle...
But if that makes you shudder, just consider the pain factor involved. They say you have to suffer to be beautiful but this does make waxing your bikini line seem like a stroll in the park by comparison.

Its a girl thing

Dive Diva and fetish model Sarah was spotted in this fetching rubber outfit at the recent Clidive BSAC 410 30th birthday party. held in 'The House of Detention', Clerkenwell. Clidive were awarded BSAC's Heinke Award for the best branch.
We had to ask: doesn't your bum get cold? 'Its really not a problem' confesses Sarah. She was right, the room temperature rose significantly wherever she went.
'But I do have to keep the Black Witch handy' she confided 'just in case of accidental rips.' That's what we like to hear: a girl who carries her own emergency repair kit!

Cheeky!

Oh go on then... Fashion label Chammyz have produced a pair of shorts to tempt the brazen hussies of the dive world. Made of lightweight, highly absorbent material resembling a chamois leather they are the ideal post-dive apparel. But is it like wearing a duster on your arse?
We think they feel fantastic and for some strange reason other divers on our boat couldn't keep their hands off them either.
See our fashion piece for more info.

Keep your hat on matey!

Don't even ask...! The drive for new members has clearly reached fever pitch at Studeley BSAC 1277. Though whether the sight of five blokes with their wobbly bits concealed in a cap is designed to tempt or terrify we haven't quite fathomed.
Hats off to the lads, they're certainly giving their all for the cause.

The 'so far up their own bottom they've forgotten what daylight looks like' Award

Very occasionally in the diving world you come across people who seem to be living in a little bubble of their own self importance.
We were rather amused to read the Millennium issue of DIVE magazine. They published a list of landmark historic events over the past few decades. You know the kind of thing:
England win the World Cup... JFK assassinated... Man lands on the moon... DIVE magazine launched (!)
We're sure they'll mark the date with a national holiday anyday soon.
